CNC Operator, Swiss Department
Reports to Production Manager, Swiss Lathe Department
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Swiss Lathe Machines
- Perform high quality work in an efficient and timely manner.
- Deburr Parts as needed.
- Clean parts as needed.
- Communicate with the Production Manager regarding any issues so they can be resolved as quickly as possible.
Inspection & Record-keeping
- Inspect your work at regular intervals.
- Measure parts against drawings with appropriate tools.
- Screen parts as required.
- Keep accurate manual and computer records as required.
- Ensure all tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
Culture
- Maintain a spirit of respect for your fellow employees.
- Work to continuously improve your skills and performance.
- Solicit training from more senior employees.
- Strive to learn the “High Tech Turning Way.”
Safety & Maintenance
- Operate all machinery in a safe manner.
- Always wear appropriate protective equipment.
- Maintain CNC machine as directed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Occasionally help move heavy items and material.
