CNC Setup Machinist, Swiss Department

We are looking to expand operations by adding a CNC Setup Machinist in the Swiss department.
Requirements
- 5+ years of CNC Swiss Machining experience preferred
- Experience machining various materials
- Experience with tight (+/- .0002) tolerances, geometric tolerancing
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines
- Able to read and understand drawings/blueprints
- Helpful if familiar with Citizen machines
- Hard working, hands on, great at multitasking and wearing a lot of hats.
About the Role
We use Citizen machines. We typically work on jobs that are long-running with short cycle times. The parts are smaller than a tennis ball. We tend to do tricky and complicated jobs with tight tolerances. Job often run continuously, sometimes making tens of thousands of pieces. This means that the challenges are mainly creating strong programs and fixtures rather than performing a lot of quick setups. We periodically upgrade our older fixtures and programs to improve processing time and you will be a part of that effort.

Responsibilities
Operate CNC Swiss Lathe Machines
- Perform high quality work in an efficient and timely manner.
- Deburr Parts as needed.
- Clean parts as needed.
- Communicate with the Production Manager regarding any issues so they can be resolved as quickly as possible.
Inspection & Record-keeping
- Inspect your work at regular intervals.
- Measure parts against drawings with appropriate tools.
- Screen parts as required.
- Keep accurate manual and computer records as required.
- Ensure all tools are properly maintained and calibrated.

Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Overview
ISO Compliance Engineer for modern CNC Machine Shop. This position will join the existing compliance team to maintain and continuously improve our quality system which is dual-certified for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016. In this role, you will with work with all departments and have responsibilities in multiple areas, including production, inspection, vendor management, and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Help find resolution to customer complaints and quality issues via our Discrepant Material Report (DMR) and Corrective Action / Preventative Action (CAPA) systems.
- Act as a liaison to our customers’ Quality Engineers and provide support as required.
- Interface with customers to develop appropriate inspection and quality plans.
- Contribute toward modification and improvement of quality system documents.
- Manage record-keeping process for document control.
- Manage record-keeping process for training.
- Plan and execute production capability studies as required.
- Plan and execute equipment qualifications as required.
- Follow up with vendors regarding documentation, reporting, and compliance issues.
- Occasionally assist in the inspection of product as required to keep the flow of parts going.
Requirements
- Local candidates only. All work onsite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field or equivalent work experience.
- 0-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Machine Shop experience a major plus.
- Practical knowledge of basic statistics. Familiarity with Minitab or similar analysis package is a plus.
- Experience with CMM or vision-based inspection system a major plus.
- Experience with SolidWorks a major plus.
- Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 13485:2016 manufacturing environment a major plus.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical technical drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience communicating professionally with internal and external parties.
